Information Description
Options for upload • Transfer configuration during storage
If this option is activated, changes to the configuration
of a terminal are immediately transferred to the terminal.
Deactivate this function if you wish to manually perform
the transfer of the configuration.
• Transfer info text
If this option is activated, the global info text is trans-
ferred onto the VDO SmartTerminal.
If this option is deactivated, the info text is removed
from the device.

List Parameter includes general setting options.
Information Description
General Informa- • PIN number
tion The PIN number is required on the VDO SmartTerminal
in order to carry out settings on the device. The PIN
number protects the device from unauthorised access
and ensures that the configuration cannot be changed
on the device.
The standard PIN is 0000.
• Default language
Specifies the default language on the device. The de-
fault language is always active when no driver card or
download key is inserted. If an appropriate medium is
inserted into the VDO SmartTerminal, the device
changes the language according to the information on
the medium.
As soon as the medium is removed from the device, the
default language is reset.
The preset default language is English.
