The configuration and administration of the VDO SmartTerminal is performed
through the VDO TerminalTools.
The application is used both by the fleet manager (administrator) and operators
with fewer user rights. You can assign the appropriate rights to an operator via

The VDO TerminalTools should be installed on all operator workstations so that
each operator has his/her own work area.
You start the VDO TerminalTools via the VDO TerminalTools.exe in the install-
ation directory or via the symbol on the desktop.

Log-on

After starting the application, you will be prompted to log into the
VDO TerminalTools. To do this, you will receive the appropriate access data
from your administrator.
If the VDO TerminalTools do not start: è
During installation, the users admin and demo are created with identical
passwords. You need to change this access information after the first log-on
in order to prevent unauthorised third party access.
You can adjust the language setting via Language in the top right corner.
Information Description

Password Entry field for your password
Server IP address or name of the computer on which the
VDO TerminalService is installed
If you have installed both the VDO TerminalTools and the
VDO TerminalServices on the same computer, you can
address it via the IP address 127.0.0.1.
