The following settings are available to a user:
Information Description
User name Unique user name
This can only be present once in the system. The combin-
ation of user name and password is required to log into
the VDO TerminalTools.
Password Password of the user
A stored password cannot be displayed again. If you wish
to store a new password for the user, click on the button
on the right in the entry field. Next, you can store a new
password for the user. Note that this change is only adop-
ted when you store the user.
Role User role of the operator
You can split the user into two groups via the Adminis-
trator selection box. Users with restricted user rights –
where the selection box is not selected – can only view
data in the system. Furthermore, certain areas are hidden
for users with restricted user rights.
A user with administration rights has full access to the sys-
tem.
Should it ever occur that no access data is known for an administrator or a
user with administration rights no longer exists, the problem may be resolved
via the VDO TerminalService configuration program.
Here, you can either allocate a new password for an administrator or create a
new administrator.

Global

Global contains settings which are applicable for all configured terminals.
The menu bar contains the following functions:
