• DTCO filename format
This option specifies the DTCO file format in which the
data is to be stored on the VDO SmartTerminal.
Normal mode is activated as default.
Information Description
Date / Time • Time zone
Specifies the time zone for the location of the VDO
SmartTerminals.
• NTP server
If this option is activated, the terminal attempts to syn-
chronise the time with the NTP server specified under
the NTP host name and NTP port.
If this option is deactivated, the time must be set manu-
ally on the VDO SmartTerminal.
• NTP host name
Name or IP address of the NTP server
• NTP port
Port of the NTP server. By default, NTP uses the UDP
port 123.
• Automatic summer / winter time switch
Specifies if the terminal should automatically switch
between summer and winter time.
Information Description
Miscellaneous • Archiving time
Specified how long data is to remain stored on the VDO
SmartTerminal after it was downloaded from the VDO
TerminalService or via USB stick.
Data which is older than the time stated in the archive is
automatically removed from the VDO SmartTerminal.
The default time is 90 days.
• Delete data from download key
if this option is activated, the VDO SmartTerminal auto-
matically deletes the data on the download key after
transferring the data from the download key to the
