Chapter 1: Preface
This guide is intended for qualified technicians who will install, configure and maintain the
Spectralink IP-DECT Server 400 Solution.
This guide provides all the necessary information for successful installation and maintenance of
the Spectralink IP-DECT Server 400. For information about the installation and configuration of
the Spectralink DECT Repeaters and the Spectralink Handsets, please download the user guides
at www.spectralink.com.

Important Information Before You Begin

This guide assumes the following:
that users have a working knowledge of PBX operations
that the PBX is installed and initialized and is working correctly
that you have a working knowledge of deployment in general
that a site survey has been conducted and that the installer has access to these plans
Furthermore, you need the information in the following table below to enter the web based
Administration Page.

The Spectralink IP-DECT Server 400 is pre-configured to use DHCP. If DHCP is not
available, it will fall back to static IP address (192.168.0.1) after one minute.
The current IP Address of the Spectralink IP-DECT Server 400 can be discovered using UPnP.
