Prerequisites

1 Remove the base cover.
2 Remove the battery (half-length)
3 Follow the procedure from step 1 to step 3 in
4 Remove the wireless
5 Follow the procedure from step 1 to step 5 in
6 Remove the solid-state drive/Intel
7 Remove the system board.

Procedure

1 Peel the Mylar off the power-button board.
2 Remove the three screws (M2x3) that secure the power-button board to the palm-rest assembly.
3 Lift the power-button board off the palm-rest assembly.
