20. Decrease the TEC temperature in 1 degree increments to 22ºC while
observing the beam on the face of the power meter detector. Note the
temperature with the most intense light and set the TEC to this value.
21. Adjust current to 0.2 A below rollover. Adjust TEC 1 degree above and below
the set temperature from step 19 in 0.5 degree increments. Note the
temperature with the highest power and set the TEC to this value.
CAUTION
Removing the shutter compromises one of the safety features of the laser.
Only remove when absolutely necessary and use precautions to avoid exposure to any
laser radiation.
1. Unplug the electrical connector from the shutter solenoid and cut the cable tie.
2. Locate and remove the (2) #8-32 7/16 screws used to hold the shutter mount
in position.
3. Remove the shutter assembly.
4. To remount the shutter, simply place the shutter in the correct position and
torque the (2) #8-32 7/16 screws to 25 in-lbs.
CAUTION
Water ports are routed underneath the shutter screws. Screws that are too
long have the potential to damage the water pipe.
5. Reconnect the electrical harness to the shutter solenoid.
6. Secure all wiring to laser bench to prevent entering the laser beam path.
