4.2.6 Status bits

The status bits of a valve terminal serve for displaying inter-
nal valve terminal faults, e.g.:
–
voltage below tolerance
–
voltage switched off
–
short circuit or overload
These error messages are treated like inputs and transmitted
with the rest of the inputs of a valve terminal to the INTER-
BUS master. There they can be interrogated, linked and pro-
cessed as "normal" inputs.
Further information on the function of the status bits can be
found in the secton "Diagnosis via the INTERBUS" in chapter
5.3.
The status bits always occupy four addresses of the confi-
gured address range. If the inputs of the input addresses
thereunder are not used, the valve terminal will set them to
"logical zero." The addresses of the status bits in the address
range of a valve terminal depend, like all inputs/outputs, on
the INTERBUS modue and on the control system used.
