6.1 Cleaning and care
▶ Do not use solvents, e.g. nitro, peroxide, sanitary, alcohol or fat cleaners and
do not use compressed air.
▶ Do not adjust or rotate the aperture lenses of the camera or projector.
6.1.1 Regular actions
Weekly
▶ Wipe off the outer housing and door with a dry, lint-free cloth, and remove any
soiling with a moist cloth.
▶ Vacuum out the interior of the scanner with a small vacuum cleaner.
Do not used compressed air or touch the lenses.
Monthly
▶ Lightly oil the thread of the clamping piece (with a drop of turbine oil for instance).
▶ Lightly lubricate joints on the door mechanism with turbine oil.
6.1.2 Readjusting the KaVo Everest scan pro
Faulty measurement from lack of adjustment
The scanning results may be negatively influenced if readjustment is not performed
properly.
▶ Readjustment is only necessary if the picture of the scanned object is incohe‐
rent when the surface module is started.
▶ The scanner must warm up for six minutes before readjusting to reach the ope‐
rating temperature. For this reason, do not readjust at the start of daily work.
▶ Start warm-up.
