Before removing the bottom cover, follow these steps:
Prepare the computer for disassembly

Remove the bottom cover:
1. Remove the rubber feet from the bottom of the computer (1).
NOTE:
and L53399-001 for pale gold models.
2. Remove the two Torx T5 2.0 × 4.0 screws (2) and the two Phillips M2.0 × 3.0 screws (3) that secure the
bottom cover to the computer.
3. Remove the five Phillips M2.5 × 6.0 screws (4) that secure the bottom cover to the computer.
4. Use a non-marking, non-conductive tool to loosen the bottom cover from the computer (1).
