Description
Battery
Before removing the battery, follow these steps:
1.
Prepare the computer for disassembly
2.
Remove the bottom cover (see
WARNING!
computer, a replacement battery provided by HP, or a compatible battery purchased from HP.
Remove the battery:
1. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (1).
2. Remove the speaker cable from the clips on the bottom of the battery (2).
3. Remove the two Phillips M2.0 × 3.5 screws (3) that secure the battery to the computer.
4. Rotate the top of the battery upward (4), and then pull the battery toward the top of the computer (5)
and out from under from the clips (6) that hold it in place.
Reverse this procedure to install the battery.
