REPAIR AND CLEANING

1. Remove silicone sleeve holding
exhaust tube (3) to exhaust valve (1).
2. Remove two allen screws which attach
the valve assembly to the cooking well.
3. Remove valve from the unit.
Note: Insure valve seat stays in place on
the unit.
4. Loosen locking nut (6) then remove
valve control yoke (7) from the stem
assembly (8).
5. Remove entire stem assembly from the
housing (9) by pushing on threaded
end of the stem assembly.
6. Remove all components from the stem
assembly (8).
7. Clean then dry all metal components
with hot water and a mild detergent.
Note: If necessary use repair kit (Part No.
11447) to replace worn parts.
8. Reassemble in reverse order. Lubri-
cate all O-rings and contacting sur-
faces with olive oil.
9. Mount valve assembly back on cooking
well with the allen screws.
10. With control rod in the "CLOSED" posi-
tion, a distance of 1/16" should be
maintained between the control yoke
(7) and control rod. While locking nut
(6) is loose, adjust distance in the pres-
sure port located on inside top of the
cooking well. Using a screwdriver, turn
stem assembly (8) either clockwise or
counterclockwise to obtain this dis-
tance.
11. Tighten locking nut (6).
