Pilot Burner Orifice; Thermocouple - Broaster 1600 Service Manual

PILOT BURNER ORIFICE

Orifice (30) is located above brass fitting
(28).
Replacement:
1. Remove condensate pan.
2. Turn cook/filter switch, gas valve knob
and manual gas shut off valve OFF.
3. Loosen brass fitting (28) from pilot
burner.
4. Pull 1/4" gas supply line (29) and brass
fitting free of burner.
5. Remove orifice (30).
6. Install new orifice in reverse order.

THERMOCOUPLE

Correct operating millivolts at the safety pilot
will be 12 to 30mV.
Replacement:
Be sure gas valve end of thermocouple is
clean of grease and oils before installing.
1. Turn cook/filter switch, gas valve knob
and manual gas shut off valve OFF.
2. Remove thermocouple (6) from brass
adapter on gas valve.
3. Remove nut (32) from pilot burner and
remove thermocouple.
4. Install new thermocouple in reverse
order. See Pilot Burner Flame Adjust-
ment.
