7. TROUBLE SHOOTING

Symptom
No display
No tone
The icon
flashes
Base or handset
do not ring
Tone is good, but
there is no
communication
Telephone does not
react to pressing
the keys
Flash (R) Key does
not work
Possible cause
Batteries uncharged
Handset turned OFF
Telephone cord badly
connected
The line is occupied
by another handset
Handset out of range
The base has no power
supply
The handset is not
registered to the base
The ringing volume is
zero or low
The dialling mode is
wrong
Manipulation error
Keypad lock ON
Wrong Flash time

Solution
Check the position of the
batteries
Recharge the batteries
Turn ON the handset
Check the telephone
cord connection
Wait until the other handset
hangs up
Bring the handset closer to
the base
Check the mains connection
to the base
Register the handset to the
base
Adjust the ringing volume
Adjust the dialling mode
(pulse/tone)
Remove the batteries and
but them back in place
Turn OFF the Keypad Lock
Call Hotline to change
the flash time
