User Manual for SR-1000 Standalone Integrated Media Block™
As shown above, the 'Portable/Enterprise Storage' is set as the
Primary storage while the 'CineCache' is set as the Secondary
storage.
Fallback to Secondary storage will occur under the following
conditions:
1.
Primary storage becomes unavailable (e.g., eSATA cable
unplugged, powered off, hardware error).
2.
Dropped frames are detected during playback from
Primary storage.
If Secondary storage is enabled, you are given an option during
content ingest to either ingest content to the Primary or to both the
Primary & Secondary storage at the same time, as mentioned
earlier in Section 6.5.1.
Set the storage priority used for playback
Attached Storage: Playback will use attached storage (live play)
for playback. If there are issues with live play, playback will fall
back to local storage.
This setting should be selected for centralized playback with the
SCL-1000/SCL-2000/SCL-3000/SCL-4000.
IMB Storage: Playback will use local storage for playback.
Note: 'CineCache' should be selected as Primary Storage in
Storage Type only when used with Priority as 'Attached Storage'.
If Priority is set as 'IMB Storage', then 'Portable/Enterprise
Storage' should be selected as Primary Storage in Storage Type
with the option of selecting 'CineCache' as Secondary Storage
With this option enabled any corrupted assets encountered during
ingestion are removed.
With this option enabled the Digital Cinema Package assets will
not be checked for integrity during download.
This option will reduce ingestion time but decrease the reliability
of the ingestion.
