Cleaning and disinfection

Shock hazard — Remove the battery before cleaning the device. This ensures that
the device will not be turned on inadvertently while you are cleaning it.
Risk of death! Disconnect the defibrillation pads before cleaning the device.
Risk of shock, equipment damage — Liquids must not enter the device. If a liquid has
penetrated the device, it must not be reused until it has been checked by a service
technician.
Equipment damage! Do not clean the surface of the device with phenol-based
disinfectants or peroxide compounds.
 Wipe the device with dampened cloth; make sure no liquid enters the device. All
cleaning or disinfection products commonly used in hospitals and containing al-
cohol (maximum 70 %) are appropriate. If liquids enter the device, it can only be
re-operated after it has been checked by the technical support department.
 Discard the disposable electrodes immediately after use to prevent their reuse
(hospital waste).

Risk to Persons, Equipment Damage — Always use SCHILLER replacement parts
and disposables, or products approved by SCHILLER. Failure to do so may endanger
life and/or invalidate the warranty.
