7.1 Cleaning and Disinfection

Danger
− Shock Hazard  Remove the battery, before
cleaning the device. This ensures that the
device will not be turned on inadvertently
while you are cleaning it. Danger to life! Dis-
connect the pads before cleaning the device.
− Shock Hazard, Equipment Damage  Liq-
uids must not be allowed to penetrate the de-
vice. Devices into which liquids have pene-
trated must be immediately cleaned and
checked by a service technician, before they
can be reused.
Cleaning, Maintenance, Disposal
Wipe the device surface down with a cloth
moistened with a cleaning solution or disinfec-
tant. Liquids must not be allowed to enter the
device.
Equipment Damage  Do not disinfect the
device surface with phenol-based disinfectants
or peroxide compounds.
