For version 8.3 and higher, RealPresence Collaboration Server (RMX) 1800 supports a redundant power
unit. The two power units back up each other and are hot swappable.
Note: Get a redundant power unit
Your RealPresence Collaboration Server (RMX) 1800 is shipped with one power unit by
default. To get a redundant power unit, contact your channel sales representatives.
To insert a power unit:
1 Slide the power unit into the chassis until it snaps into place.
The system beeps because it detects a power unit inserted without a power supply connected to it.
2 Connect the unit to a power supply using the supplied power cable.
The system stops beeping.
