When transporting the product in a car put it only in the boot
or on a separate loading area.
You may pull the device apart to save space.
Do not throw the device when loading it. Secure the device
against tipping over and damages.
Check the device for damages if it was subjected to hard
jolts during transport.
For information on "Transport" of the battery and the
charger, please refer to the respective "Operating Instructions".

Storage

Before each storage:
switch off device
wait until the cutting device does not
longer move
remove battery
 Store machines that are not in use in a dry locked place
protected against frost and outside the reach of children
and unauthorized persons.
 Do not rest the device on the guard when storing it to avoid
deformation of the guard.
Before each fault elimination:
switch off device
wait until the cutting thread is stationary
wear gloves
remove the battery
After each fault clearance, put into operation and recheck all security installations.

Possible faults

Possible Cause

 Best store the device suspended. An opening for hanging it
up is provided in the housing.
 You can also store the device in a space-saving manner by
loosening the locking nut (7) and pulling the upper and
lower part apart.
Before storage, please observe the following to increase
the service life of the device and to ensure smooth operation:
− Carry out a thorough cleaning and maintenance.
Remove the thread spool to make cleaning it and the
guard easier.
 Check the protective hood for damages during cleaning.
 To keep the cutting thread flexible, it should absorb
moisture before use.
Put cutting threads that were stored for a longer period
or purchased new in water for 1 - 2 days before use so
that they can absorb moisture.
− Check the device for perfect condition to ensure reliable
use.

Removal
 Charge the battery
 Insert the lithium-ion battery correctly
 Have the battery, motor or switch checked /
repaired by a licensed electrician or customer
service or replaced by original spare parts.
