Check the amount of dust often during the first weeks
to ensure relevant interval between the emptying peri-
ods. The interval can differ between one week up to
once a month.
Always use an approved breathing mask,
protection glasses and gloves when
changing filer.
Check regularly, when emtying the bin, that there are
no large amounts of dust on the outside of the filter
hoses. Cloths, paper or other "fluffy" materials that
has got caught is preferably removed by hand. This is
easiest done from below when the bin is removed.
Filter package
Always use an approved breathing mask,
protection glasses and gloves when
changing filer.
The filter hoses shall normally be changed after 6000-
8000 working hours. Great amounts of welding- smoke
and/or oildust can demand change of filter more often.
A timer is built-in in the PLC to contol the working-
hours. Change of filter should be noted in the units
service card.
The filter hoses can be changed separately, but it is
recommended and much faster to change the whole
filter package, and it makes less spreading of dust. The
work is easy if the unit is placed so it can be tilted, fig.
9. The filter also can be lifted straight up, fig. 10, with a
crane or other lifting device.
If the filter hoses are changed separately the plasic hol-
ders must also be changed.
Fig. 11 (A-C) show how the rubber sealing rings shall
be mounted. When a used sealing ring is to be remoun-
ted, the open form is not as it was when new as in A.
Use a screwdriver to bring the edge of the module bet-
ween the rubber lips so that the result when mounting
the steel ring becomes as in C.
Correct mounting is important to the tightness of the
unit as well as the durability.

Filter cleaning

Pinching risk at the air pressure cylinder
and valve disc movements. See to that the
protection hood over the filter cleaning
unit is mounted after the check-up.
Check the automatic cleaning equipment once a year.
Remove the top cover from the collector and inspect
the valve disc.
Start up the unit and press the Filter Cleaning button,
see figure 6.
The compressed air cylinder should lift the valve disc
and a loud noise can be heard as air rushes into the
collector to blow off the dust from the outside of the fil-
ter package, this will be repeated 3 times for each filter
cleaning cycle.
Stop the vacuum unit and shut off the air supply. Check
the valve disc fastening, damage and wear. Change if
necessary. Replace the protecting top cover

Motor and the fan unit

Inspect and clean the motor compartment regularly!
The motor has 2 ball bearings. The bearings should be
replaced after approximately 15000 hours of operation.
If ambient temperature often reaches 35 °C (95 °F) the
time between repacement should be reduced. In any
case the bearings should be changed every fifth year.
The bearings are a standard type. Contact Nederman
or Nederman distibutor for replacing the bearings.
Old grease should be removed and new grease used.
The grease must meet the DIN 51825-K2N 40, SKF
LGHP 2 eller FAG Arcanol Multitop.
Cooling filter for frequency converter
The lenght of life of the filter depends on the air bound
dust around the vacuum unit. Expected length of life is
6-48 months. Check the filter regularly throug the filter
holder grid. If the filter is clogged the frequency conver-
ter will shut off due to overheating. When changing the
filter, see the decal placed over the filter intake.
