User Guide
This section describes the precautions and procedures for powering on and off the chassis.

4.1 Powering On

You need to power on the chassis after installing it or components.

4.2 Powering Off

You need to power off the chassis before replacing a part due to a chassis or part fault or
inspecting the chassis or parts.
4.1 Powering On
You need to power on the chassis after installing it or components.
Procedure
Step 1 Check that devices and cables are properly installed.
Step 2 Connect the chassis power cables with the external power supply. Then the chassis, switch
modules, management modules, and compute nodes are automatically powered on.
Step 3 Observe the indicator status and ensure that the server is operating properly.

4.2 Powering Off
You need to power off the chassis before replacing a part due to a chassis or part fault or
inspecting the chassis or parts.
Procedure
Step 1 Ensure that all services and programs on the server are stopped or have been switched over to
other devices.

The compute nodes are powered on after the management modules are powered on successfully.
