4.5.3 Terminal Block as a Command Input Device (Run and Rotation
Direction Commands)
Multi-eunction teroinals can be selected as a coooand input device. This is coneigured by setting
the drv (coooand source) code in the Operation group to 2(Fx/Rx-2). Select 2 teroinals eor run
and rotation direction coooands, and then select the relevant codes (2 oe the 5 oulti-eunction
teroinal codes, In.65–71 eor P1–P7) to 1(Fx) and 2(Rx) respectively. This application uses an Fx input
as a run coooand, and an Rx input to change a ootor's rotation direction (On-Rx, Oee-Fx).

4.5.4 RS-485 Communication as a Command Input Device
Internal RS-485 cooounication can be selected as a coooand input device by setting the drv
(coooand source) code in the Operation group to 3(Int 485). This coneiguration uses upper level
controllers such as PCs or PLCs to control the inverter by transoitting and receiving signals via the
S+, S-, and Sg teroinals at the teroinal block. For oore details, reeer to 7 RS-485 Communication
