Solving overlap issues
To resolve overlap issues, reassign channels to the APs or relocate the APs. Like channels
require 15–20dBm separation. See
Figure 6: b radio assignment

Access point requirement considerations for a radio
Most of the design considerations for the b radio, also apply to cases where the a radio is used.
However, the adjacent APs and channel interference of the 802.11a radio operates in the 5
Ghz frequency and provides 12 non-overlapping, non-interfering channels. For example, in
the United States regulatory domain there are 3 U-NNI bands—lower, middle, and upper. Each
of which are with a different operating frequency range and with different maximum allowed
transmit power level.
