NOTICE!
The simple, straightforward Fire System Designer (FSD) planning software can be used to
plan fire alarm systems that conform to the relevant limiting values, e.g. in terms of cable
length and power supply.

Fuse the power lines using fuses with a conventional tripping current of 16 A (EU) or 20 A
(US).
Only 12 V/45 Ah batteries can be used with the frame-mounting housings.
We recommend the preferable use of loops, as they offer greater security than stub lines.
Existing conventional detectors can be connected to CZM 0004 A 4 Zone Conventional
Modules. A CZM 0004 A Conventional Module provides four conventional primary lines
(zones).
It is possible to have hybrid operation (LSN interface, LSN detector and notification
appliance) within a loop or stub line.
A number of restrictions apply when connecting classic LSN elements and new LSN-
improved elements together in the same loop:
All LSN-improved elements must be set to "CL" (classic mode).
A maximum of 127 elements are permitted in a hybrid loop.
Limiting values per LSN 0300 module:
Up to 127 classic LSN or 254 LSN-improved elements can be connected.
Up to 300 mA current consumption,
Up to 1600 m cable length (refer to Page 56).
Unshielded cable can be used.
Limiting values per LSN 1500 module:
Up to 127 classic LSN or 254 LSN-improved elements can be connected.
Up to 1500 mA current consumption when connecting LSN-improved elements.
Up to 300 mA current consumption when connecting classic LSN elements.
Up to 3000 m cable length.
Unshielded cable can be used.
When selecting address cards you should remember that each module, monitored
module input and LSN element that can trigger an alarm occupies its own detection point
(address).
Example 1: The CZM 0004 A 4 Conventional Zone Module occupies one detection point
per zone.
Example 2: The IOP 0008 A Input/Output Module requires up to nine detection points,
one for the module and one for each input.
Recommended fire alarm cable: J--Y (St) Y 2 x 2 x 0.8 mm
