Current-carrying capacity of the cables

To electrically connect stator segments with a current demand of up to 66 A, combination
cables with a cross-section of up to 16 mm
for the power and four conductors for the signals. The cross-section for each of the signal
conductors is 0.5 mm
You must use single conductor cables for higher current demands. You require a total of
three power cables for each stator segment. An additional cable/conductor is required for the
protective conductor connection. Further, you require an additional signal cable.
The cross-section of the power cable conductors is based on the rated current of the stator
segment. The rated current of the stator segment must be less than the current-carrying
capacity of the cable according to DIN EN 60204-1 (routing type C). The table below
specifies the maximum permissible rated current of the stator segment for different cross-
sections of the power cable conductors.
