13 Pull out the spring loaded catch to release the wheel chassis
from the transfer chair and at the same time slide out the
wheel chassis sideways from the chair. (See Fig. 7 and 8)
14
WARNING
To avoid entrapment or pinching of genitals,
make sure there is enough clearance during
movement over the tub edge, toilet, bedpan or
other furniture.
15
WARNING
To avoid entrapment, make sure to keep the
patients hair, arms and feet close to the body
and use designated grab supports during any
movement.
16 Push down the Lift in button for the chair to rotate into the
bathtub. Help the patient to move his or her legs over the
edge of the bathtub. (See Fig. 9)
NOTE
A slight jerk can follow the start of lift rotation
movement into the bathtub. It is fully normal.
17 Raise the bathtub to a convenient working height for the
caregiver by pushing down the Raising of tub button.
18 When the bathtub is in its highest position, it is possible to
raise the transfer chair higher by pushing down the Lift out
button. The chair will only be raised since the rotation of the
chair out of the bathtub will only work when the bathtub is
at lowest position. This makes it easier to clean parts of the
patient's body, which would otherwise be out of reach.
(See Fig. 10)
19 Push down the Lift in button, to lower the transfer chair
back again.
