Ready mode and Not-Ready
mode
The printer is in "ready" mode when it is ready to receive
and print documents
sent by the computer. When the
printer is in "not-ready"
mode, you can use the control
panel keys to change various printer settings. In
"not-ready"
mode, the printer cannot print anything.
When the printer is on, the READY indicator light on the
right-hand
side of the panel indicates whether the
printer is in ready mode, or not-ready mode. The light is
on continuously
if the printer is in ready mode. It
flashes when the printer is not ready.
