Plug the interface converter's
Centronics
connector
into the socket on the side of the printer. Secure it
with the retaining clips.

Connect the interface connector's
25-pin D-type
connector
to one end of the serial converter cable.

Plug the other end of the serial converter cable into
one of your computer's
serial ports. The computer's
serial ports are usually labelled COM 1, COM2 etc.
COMl
is normally a g-pin serial port and COM2 is
normally a 25-pin port.

Make sure that the serial-to-parallel
converter is
resting on a stable, level surface, so that it will not
be prone to vibration or damage.

Consult your dealer if you are unsure about the type of serial
converter cable that you need.
