Troubleshooting
Meaning
Network operation:
the CLV is waiting for polls by
the CLX 200 network
controller.
The CLV cannot operate the
oscillating mirror or cannot
initialize the mirror.
Data transmission error
between a slave and the
master.
During the master timeout,
the master receives more or
fewer reading results from
the slaves than expected
from the number of slaves
that the master has entered.
After selection of the
master/slave function,
individual parameter values,
which are not compatible
with the automatic settings
defined for this function by
the CLV, were changed
subsequently

Possible cause
• Data connecting cable
interrupted
• CLX 200 not ready
• Incorrect device number
parameterized
• Inadvertently
parameterized for network
operation
Device fault.
Data connecting cable
interrupted.
• The parameterized number
of slaves does not match
the actual number of slaves
connected
• Timeout for the master is
too short
• The data connection
between the slaves has
been interrupted.
Deviations from the following
settings
• Test string: no (slaves)
• Aux. input: no (slaves)
• Pulse: serial interface or
switching input
• RK 512: without reaction

Remedy
• Check cables.
• Switch on CLX 200.
• Device number: 01 to 31.
• Check the configuration of
the host interface.
To do so, upload from the
CLV using the CLV Setup
program, choose the "H
OST
I " tab and check the
NTERFACE
settings in the "I
NTERFACE
P " group.
ROTOCOL
Download the changes to
the CLV!
Contact the SICK Service
department.
If the error continues to
occur, check the connecting
cable between all devices.
• Check the entered number
of slaves.
To do so, upload from the
CLV using the CLV Setup
program, choose the "D
EVICE
C " tab and check
ONFIGURATION
the "N S " in the
UMBER OF LAVES
"CLV A " group.
RRANGEMENT
Download any changes to
the CLV!

• Check the cables between
the slaves.

FACE EVICE ONFIGURATION
"H I " tabs in the
OST NTERFACE
