Downtown 350i
Fit the boss of the starter driven gear into the starter clutch. The starter clutch
should only allow the driven gear to turn in one direction. If the starter clutch
allows turning both ways or will not let the driven gear rotate smoothly in one
direction the starter clutch must be replaced.
Remove the three starter clutch mounting bolts with a 6 mm Allen socket.
