Cause
Product pressure too
low.
Spray gun filter or high-
pressure filter clogged at
pump.
Nozzle clogged.
The valve rod path is too
short.
Atomizing air incorrectly
adjusted.
Nozzle worn.
Product pressure too
low.
The product viscosity is
too high.
Nozzle partially clogged. Nozzle cleaning
The drilled holes in the
air cap are damaged or
clogged.
Incorrectly selected air
cap.
The seals on the valve
rod are damaged or
the valve rod itself is
damaged.
Air valve seals are leaky.
Pretension is too low.
The valve seat or the
valve ball is damaged.
Pretension of the seals is
too strong.
Remedy
Select larger nozzle.
Increase product pressure.
Clean or replace filter.
Nozzle cleaning
Replace the valve rod.
Readjust the atomizing air.
Replace the nozzle.
Increase the product pressure at
pump.
Dilute the spray product
in accordance with the
manufacturer's instructions.
Clean or replace the air cap.
Insert the correct air cap
(solvent/water based lacquer).
Replace the entire valve rod or
the individual seals.
Replace the air valve seal.
Tighten the sealing screw.
Replace the parts.
Replace the seals.
