11 Decommissioning
11.1 Dismounting the Power Reducer Box
1. Pull the plug-in power supply out of the plug socket.
2. Unplug the DC plug of the power supply from the Power Reducer Box.
3. Remove the SD card from the SD card slot of the Power Reducer Box after a short push.
4. Remove cabling to the radio ripple control receiver.
5. Remove the Ethernet cable from the Power Reducer Box.
6. Remove the enclosure.
Top hat rail mounting
Remove the enclosure of the Power Reducer Box from the top hat rail. To do so, lightly press the
Power Reducer Box upwards, tilting the top edge forwards.
Wall mounting
Remove the enclosure of the Power Reducer Box from the wall. To do so, press the Power
Reducer Box upwards, and pull it forwards.
☑ The Power Reducer Box is dismounted.
11.2 Packing the Power Reducer Box
When returning the device to us, please be sure to use packaging which adequately protects the
device from damage during transport (if possible, the original packing).
11.3 Disposal of the Power Reducer Box
Dispose of the Power Reducer Box at the end of its service life in accordance with the disposal
regulations for electronic scrap which apply at the installation site at that time, or send it back to SMA
Solar Technology with shipping paid by sender, and labeled "ZUR ENTSORGUNG ("for disposal").
