OVMS: Renault Twizy User Guide
of the controller. The macro commands will try to switch states automatically but sometimes this
can fail.
Pre-operational state is signaled by three beeps, the STOP lamp and the LCD battery warning
symbol, the Twizy will not react to key presses. You can go back to operational state
– either by sending the
– or by just switching the Twizy off and on again and waiting for ~10 seconds.
On switch-on, the OVMS will check if the Twizy is still in pre-operational state and will
automatically switch back to operational if needed.
CFG RESET without network connectivity
To manually issue a
1. Switch off the Twizy
2. Switch on to first state (before "GO")
3. Press "D" or "R" three times ...and don't forget to say "there's no place like home" ;-)
4. Wait 5 seconds, then switch off the Twizy and start as usual.
If the OVMS still has connectivity, it will send the RESET result by IP or SMS.
If the RESET command fails (i.e. timeout or CAN access problems), you can try again without
switching off the Twizy.
CAN write control (V3.7.2)
To allow the module to write to the CAN bus, you just need to set feature #15 to 1. This enables all
OVMS functions needing to write to the CAN bus.
Beginning with V3.7.2, feature #15 can be used to selectively control which of the OVMS functions
shall be allowed to write to the bus. This is done by using a flag bitmap like for feature #14, i.e. add
the values of bits you want to set. The bitmap values are as follows:
1 = enable CAN write access: this needs to be set for all CAN writes.
•
2 = disable emergency CFG RESET: this will inhibit the manual SEVCON reset described
•
above, so pushing "D"/"R" by mistake will not have any effect. Be aware there will be no
way to reset the SEVCON other than using the network or serial connection if you don't
have a SimpleConsole.
4 = disable kickdown: set this to inhibit the accelerator pedal kickdown feature.
•
8 = disable auto power adjustment: set this to stop the module from listening to the BMS
•
power limits and adjusting the drive & recuperation levels accordingly. Note: if the levels
have already been lowered, setting the bit will not reset the levels, you need to do so
