The router lift on the Model T28780/T28781 is
designed with clamping plates (see Figure 34)
that accept router body diameters from 3.125"–
4.25".
Each one of the four clamping plates has two
curved edges—one deep and one shallow.
Through a process of trial and error, determine
which curvature best holds your router in position.
Do not mix and match shallow and deep curves
or the router will not be centered over the hole in
the mounting plate, and you run the risk of hitting
the plate with a bit during operations.
For larger router bodies, remove the clamping
plates completely (see Figure 35) and use the
clamp block and slide block to secure the router
in position.
