Initial start-up
In addition to the commissioning instructions listed in
this chapter, the specific commissioning instructions
listed in the installation instructions for the Daikin 
Altherma EHS(X/H) must be complied with.

4.1 Starting up the Daikin Altherma EHS(X/H)

A precondition for initial commissioning is the completion of all
preparatory installation work in accordance with the installation
and maintenance instructions for the Daikin Altherma EHS(X/H).
● Turn power supply to Daikin Altherma EHS(X/H) on.
After the start phase, the operating language selector is
displayed.
● Use the rotary switch to select the desired language.
The operating language can be changed again at any
time.
● Confirm the changes with a brief push of the rotary switch.
The Basic Configuration of the RoCon device is loaded.
The message "Starting Up" is displayed.
The message "Initialization" is displayed.
The standard display for the current rotary switch setting
is displayed.
● At the RoCon device, adjust the settings to suit the configu-
ration of the heating system (see chapter 3.6).
4.2 Connect the optional RoCon devices and
start them up
Instructions for installation can be found in the respective user in-
structions supplied.
The optional RoCon-devices must be connected to the Daikin Al-
therma EHS(X/H) using a 4-core CAN bus cable (port J13, see
installation instructions for the Daikin Altherma EHS(X/H)).
Daikin recommends screened cables with the following charac-
teristics for this purpose:
– Standard to ISO 11898, UL/CSA type CMX (UL 444)
– PVC outer sheath with flame retardant to IEC 60332-1-2
– Up to 40 m, minimum cross-section area 0.75 mm
greater lengths, use larger cross-section areas.
Commercially available junction boxes can be used for con-
nection of Can bus lines of several RoCon-devices.
Ensure power cables, sensor cables and data bus cables are laid
separately from each other. Use only cable trunking with sep-
arate trays or cable trunking with separators that ensure at least
2 cm spacing. Cable crossings are permissible.
The entire RoCon system can have a maximum of 20 devices
connected with a total cable length up to 800 m.

Starting up the EHS157068 mixer module

The EHS157068 mixer module has no control unit of its own. For
configuration and operation it must be connected using a CAN
bus cable to a RoCon-Control installed in the heat generator or to
an EHS157034 room station.
In conjunction with a room station the mixer module can
also be operated as a free-standing heating circuit con-
troller.
To operate the mixer module directly via the control
panel RoCon B1, the terminal function must be acti-
vated (see chapter 3.4.9).
If the message "n. A." is displayed at the rotary switch
setting
valid terminal address.
If the message "n. A." is still displayed it may be nec-
essary to update the device software before the ter-
minal function can be used. Contact the Daikin Service
Team for this.
At the address switch (see fig. 4-1) a unique data bus address 
(≥ 1) must be set for the heating circuit to be controlled by this
mixer module. This must be synchronised with the assigned 
operating element (parameter [HC Assignment]).

module
All settings and operating steps for this heating circuit are per-
formed similarly to those for the direct heating circuit. The
overview of the available parameters and their settings can be
