Using the Phone Directories

The Cisco SPA 525G/525G2 IP phone provides several different types of phone directories,
depending on the phone model and what the phone administrator has set up for the company.
In general, the phones provide the following types of directories:
• Personal Address Book—The personal directory provides a place for you to store and view
frequently dialed numbers. You can also dial numbers from the directory.
• Corporate Directories—Depending on your phone network configuration, you may have one or
more of the following directories available:
• Corporate Directory (XML)
• Corporate Directory (available in SPA9000 system only)
• Directory using Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP)
NOTE Cisco XML directory and LDAP directory are used as corporate directory in SPA
525G/525G2 IP phones.
