SAT3 Operation Cont.
After the SAT3 calls, if an acknowledge tone was programmed (See Pg. 8) and
is pressed by the called party, the green light marked TALK, will begin
flashing once per second. This lets the person using the SAT3 know that the
phone call was received and acknowledged. This is useful for the hearing impaired, to
help comply with ADA requirements in some systems.
If the optional Info Button is installed (SAT3D/R only), pushing that button will
automatically call the number stored in the info location. It will NOT dial any
additional phone numbers if it fails to get a response.
How To Remotely Call a SAT3.
Call the SAT3 by dialing its number from another phone on another line. When

SAT3 Central Station Operation
The SAT3 has a built-in data modem that will call a Central Station using the universal
SIA 1 ("Fast") protocol. Placing 2 pause commands (#, #) in front of the phone
number will cause the modem to dial the number and connect with the Central Station
equipment.
