Error Reply Messages

This section shows the error-reply messages you may receive after you
send a station management command message. When sending a
station-management command, you can experience two kinds of errors:
Protocol Errors
Command Errors
Format Error Reply Message
A format error occurs when the packet you send from the host computer
to the KFM contains an error. In that case, the KFM will return a
format-error-reply message. The error message contains fields for a
Format-Error Code (FEC), an Error Pointer (PT), and Error Data (ED).
Here is the format of a format-error-reply message:
The Format-Error Code (FEC) field is one byte long and will contain
one of four values:
FEC Value
(in Hex)
The Error Pointer (PT) field is one byte long and indicates which byte of
the header or application fields (starting with the UL field) the KFM was
processing when it discovered the error (e.g., 0 = First Byte,
1 = Second Byte, etc.).
The Error Data (ED) field always has the value 00.
