Chapter 12
Remote-TC-Reply Timer — Determines the amount of time a KFL or
KFM will wait for a time-critical reply message from a remote station
before sending an error message to its host device. Data field is two bytes
long. Time base 10 ms. Valid entries are 01 (10 ms) to FF FF hex
(10 min. 54 sec.). Default is 10 seconds.
Host-TC-Reply Timer — Determines the amount of time a KFL or
KFM will wait for a time-critical reply message from its host device
before sending an error message to the remote station that sent the
command. Data field is two bytes long. Time base is 10 ms. Valid
entries are 01 (10 ms) to FF FF hex (10 min. 54 sec.). Default is
5 seconds.
PAD Character Timer — Determines the amount of time a KFL in
PAD mode waits for another character before sending the characters in its
buffer to the PAD destination station. For example, if the PAD character
timer is set to 50 ms, each time the host sends a character to the KFL, the
KFL sends the character to the PAD destination station if it does not
receive another character from the host within 50 ms, or if its
256-character buffer is full. If the KFL receives another character within
50 ms, the KFL resets its PAD character timer and waits for another
character. If it does not receive another character within 50 ms, it sends
the two characters to the PAD destination station. Data field is one byte
long. Time base is 10 ms. Valid entries are 05 (50 ms) to FF hex.
Default is 50 ms (50 ms is also the minimum time you can select).
PAD Destination Node/User — Determines the node and user of the
destination station for a KFM or KFL channel in PAD mode. The node
designation at the destination station is the number selected on the
link-address thumbwheels of the destination interface. The user
designation at the remote station is the channel number of the destination
node. Data field is two bytes long. Valid entries are 1 to 376 octal for the
node and 1 to 16 decimal for the user ID.
PAD Destination Link — Determines the link of the destination station
for a KFM or KFL channel in PAD mode. Data field is one byte long.
With only one Data Highway II link, specify a value of zero (0) in this
field.
WNAK Retry Timer — Determines the amount of time before the
interface will attempt to continue sending data to the receiver. Data field
is two bytes long. Time base is 10 ms. Default value is 00 00, valid
entries are 00 00 to FF FF (10 min. 54 sec.).
