4 First side CIS flat cable and
second side CIS flat cable are
connected vice versa.
5 Black reference tape stained
6 First side CIS flat cable

7 First side CIS unit defective
8 Document scanner motor

9 Main PCB defective
Cause
Carry out maintenance 55 to obtain white level
data.
Clean the white reference tape of document
pressure bar of ADF cover.
Replace the second side CIS unit.
Replace the ADF cover.
Replace the main PCB ASSY.
Cause
Set the scanner belt into place.
Reconnect the document scanner motor
harness.
Reconnect the first side CIS flat cable.
Reconnect the first side CIS flat cable and the
second side CIS flat cable correctly.
Clean document cover glass at black reference
tape.
Replace the first side CIS flat cable.
Replace the first side CIS unit.
Replace the document scanner unit.
Replace the main PCB ASSY.
