Chapter 7.
The NeuraLabel 500e requires little maintenance. However at periodic intervals you will
need to change the print cartridges, and eventually change the fuser and ITU belt. You
may also wish to clean your printer.
Periodically Neuralog will release firmware updates that will fix problems or improve
functionality. These may be firmware releases for the printer itself or for the Feeder
attachment. Instructions for installing these updates are provided.

7.1 Updating the Printer Firmware

Printer updates will be made available for clients who have active printer maintenance.
Maintenance will be included for the first year. To update your printer firmware:
 Select Settings->Update Firmware from the printer web interface.
 Select the Neuralog supplied printer firmware update file. It will have a .fls
extension.
 Click Submit. The file will be downloaded to the printer and the printer will reboot
when complete.

7.2 Updating the CFA Firmware

The CFA Firmware is updated using the same steps as the printer. It is also available
for clients who have active printer maintenance. To update your CFA firmware.
 Select Settings->Update Firmware from the printer web interface.
