Copies can be printed on NeuraLabel 500e with or without cutting between the prints. This is a
checkbox setting on the Continuous print parameters screen. Normally you will not want to cut
between copies. For example if you were to print a batch of 100 copies of a label on continuous
form, you would want a single continuous print; make sure the Cut Between Copies remains
UNchecked. Only in the case that you are printing copies (batches) of consecutively numbered
labels, would you consider configuring the printer to cut between copies.

4.6 Print Speed

While the NeuraLabel 500e is capable of moving continuous media at about 11 inches per
second or ips, the recommended print speed for labels is about 5 inches per second. This is
because it takes longer for proper fusing to occur on vinyl and polyester label stock. The
NeuraLabel 500e printer has been designed to work nominally at this speed. Your printer will
actually display a Maximum print speed of Default in the continuous print parameters; however,
setting the media type to labels will automatically adjust the speed to that required for label
media.
There are several higher speeds which are available, but not normally advisable for label
printing. These higher speed settings are ideal for printing on continuous paper media where
fusing can occur more rapidly.
Table: Print Speed in Inches per Second
In addition to the speed of moving the media, users are concerned with the Time to First Print or
TTFP. The following factors reduce TTFP.
 Smaller document print file size
 Reliable and fast network connection
 Printer Memory
Document size is primarily controlled by the data file itself and the application creating the file.
Some applications and file types create smaller files. Other factors include DPI and number of
colors. BW files are the smallest and will spool most quickly to the printer. The NeuraLabel 500e
