print driver has also greatly improved file compression over its predecessor NeuraLabel print
driver.
A reliable low-traffic network is vital for printing continuous documents in a timely manner. If
performance is critical, you may choose to install your printer on a private network to avoid
unrelated network traffic.
The NeuraLabel 500e printer ships with the maximum memory of 768 MB and a 1.2 GHz
processor. For larger files, this memory and CPU will result in faster prints. Do not replace or
change the printer memory. Memory that is not fully compatible with the printer may seem to
work but can create slower print times.

4.7 Margin Settings

The NeuraLabel 500e allows you to control the initial top margin of printed labels. The value on
the continuous print parameters panel called Initial Page Top Margin Adjustment should be
used to adjust the top margin of the first printed label. This will move the labels down and away
from the perforation or fold. The default of 0.10 has been found to be effective for most media.
Also the printer may be configured to operate in inches (default) or cm so if your margin appears
incorrect, check that the units have the correct setting.

4.8 Print Quality and Accuracy

The print driver provided with NeuraLabel 500e provides quality prints through a variety of
features. Color matching is achieved through PANTONE color calibration and special dithering
algorithms. Color adjustments are possible, but usually not needed or recommended. 300
Enhanced DPI is provided as the default value and is recommended for most labels. Toner
Darkness may be adjusted if needed, but the recommended setting of 4 will give superior results.
Finally, color alignment is an important aspect of quality and should be addressed.

4.8.1 Color

The NeuraLabel print driver was developed to achieve excellent color matching for label prints.
However, Color Balance and Color Correction are available under the Print Quality tab of the
Printer Properties panel. Current print driver values are set to "Use printer settings." The user is
encouraged to explore these options, but the existing settings are the recommended values.

4.8.2 DPI

The default DPI for NeuraLabel is 300 Enhanced. This is the recommended value for printing
labels. Lower resolution would result in lesser quality prints; higher resolution can result in large
file sizes, particularly for long continuous documents. The following DPI choices are available in
the NeuraLabel 500e NeuraPrinter Driver.
300 Enhanced – This is the recommended default DPI setting. Image dots of each of the 4
colors are placed at 300 dots per inch. This is also referred to as 300x4 mode.
