8.3.1 Power Saver Mode wake up

Each time the printer prints from Power Saver Mode it will take slightly longer to start.
While power saver mode is recommended for energy efficiency, it is possible to
increase the time until the printer reaches this mode. This will make overall print start
times faster. See the section Power Saver Mode to adjust this setting.

8.3.2 Memory incompatibility or inadequate memory

Incompatible memory has been found to increase time for prints to start, even though
the printer seems to function properly. The printer ships with the maximum memory
already installed. Do not replace this memory. If you suspect a problem, contact
Neuralog Support.

8.3.3 Network traffic

Network traffic can slow any type of printing. If speed is critical and your company's
network has heavy use, you may choose to set up a private network. See the Appendix
for an example.

8.3.4 Slow host PC or application

New technology computers are crucial for handling large documents. With NeuraLabel
st
500e you have invested in the latest 21
century printing technology. Make sure you
have a computer that can keep up with your printing needs. A faster computer will
render your documents quicker and enhance overall printing performance. A 64-bit
operating system may also be beneficial.

8.4 Blank pages at end of print

NeuraLabel 500e includes 2-4 blank forms at the end of each print as part of its normal
printing process, depending on the media size. These pages are a necessary part of
producing quality prints. During every print toner is first placed on the image transfer
belt and then transferred to the media. As the media exits the printer, the toner is fused
onto it. Because of this final processing step, the media must be past the fuser before
the printer can stop the continuous print. The result is blank forms that remain in the
printer. The number of blank forms depends on the form length. If your prints have
more than 2-4 blank forms, contact Neuralog Support.

8.5 Incorrect Configuration Problems

If the proper steps are not followed at printer setup, the following errors will occur.

8.5.1 250.21 Page Jam

This error code results if the continuous media entering the printer becomes obstructed.
Clear the jam and say continue to restart the print.
