Close the DIGSI 4 System configurator and save the IEC61850 station settings.

The following steps only have to be carried out if time synchronization via NTP or Modbus TCP is required.
In case of time synchronization via NTP with a second, redundant NTP server, these steps have to be carried
out for 2 NTP servers.
Select the Folder and open the dialog Import device via context menu Insert New Object → Other

IEC61850 communicator.
Search for the file sntp.icd in the DIGSI 4 folder and click OK.

Example: x:\DIGSI4\Utilities\IEC61850\ICD\sntp.icd) where x stands for the hard-drive directory.
TEMPLATE is inserted in the DIGSI 4 Manager window.
Rename TEMPLATE to NTP Server.

n the DIGSI 4 Manager, select the IEC61850 station and open the dialog Properties - IEC61850 station

via context menu Object properties....
Open the Communicator tab, select a device from the Available IEC61850 devices and click Add.

The selected device is moved to the IEC61850 station communicator.
Double-click IEC61850 station in the DIGSI 4 Manager to open the DIGSI 4 System configurator with the

IEC61850 station application and the Subnet1.
Drag & Drop the NTP server, entered under New devices (1), into Subnet1.
