Identifying the parts and
controls
ud MIC jack (PLUG IN POWER) (p. 135)
The MIC jack is used to supply the power
to the "plug-in-power" microphone
connected, and is used as an audio input
jack for an external microphone or audio
equipment. When connecting an external
microphone, set the MIC/LINE switch to
MIC, and when connecting audio
equipment, set it to LINE.

LANC stands for Local Application
Control Bus System. The
jack is used for controlling the tape
transport of video equipment and
peripherals connected to it. This jack has
the same function as the jack indicated as
CONTROL L or REMOTE.

When you use headphones, the speaker on
your camcorder is silent.
