Using the wide mode

You can record a 16:9 wide picture to watch on
the 16:9 wide-screen TV (16:9WIDE).
Black bands appear on the screen during
recording in the 16:9WIDE mode [a]. The picture
during playing back in the 4:3 mode on a wide-
screen TV [b] or a normal TV [c]* are
compressed widthwise. If you set the screen
mode of the wide-screen TV to the full mode, you
can watch normal ratio pictures [d].
If the zoom lever is set to the W (wide) side, the
recording angle will become wider than that of
the usual tape recording.
* The picture played back in the wide mode on a
normal TV appears the same as the picture
played back in the wide mode on your
camcorder [a].

(1) During recording standby, press FN to
display PAGE1.
(2) Press MENU.
(3) Select 16:9WIDE in
(p. 236).
(4) Select ON, then press EXEC.

Utilisation du mode
Grand écran
Vous pouvez faire des prises de vues en format
16:9 que vous pourrez ensuite visionner sur un
téléviseur grand écran 16:9 (16:9WIDE).
Pendant l'enregistrement en mode 16:9WIDE [a],
des bandes noires apparaissent à l'écran. Pendant
la lecture en mode 4:3 sur un téléviseur grand
écran [b] ou un téléviseur normal [c]*, les images
sont comprimées dans le sens de la largeur. Si
vous réglez le mode d'écran du téléviseur grand
écran sur le mode Grand écran, vous pouvez
regarder des images au rapport normal [d].
Si le levier de zoom est réglé sur le côté W (grand
angle), l'angle d'enregistrement est plus large
que celui du mode d'enregistrement normal sur
cassette.
* L'image lue en mode Grand écran sur un téléviseur
ordinaire est identique à celle qui est lue en mode
Grand écran sur votre caméscope [a].

(1) En mode d'attente d'enregistrement, appuyez
sur FN pour afficher PAGE1.
(2) Appuyez sur MENU.
(3) Sélectionnez 16:9WIDE sous
appuyez sur EXEC (p. 247).
(4) Sélectionnez ON, puis appuyez sur EXEC.
