"CTS/RTS threshold"
Here you can specify at which maximum data frame the CTS/RTS handshake method will
be activated before transmitting data.
Modifications to the "CTS/RTS threshold" settings are not activated until the next device
restart.
"Fragmentation threshold"
If a packet exceeds the value entered here, the packet is fragmented and divided into
smaller packets.
The "Fragmentation threshold" function cannot be used under WPA.
"Long distance"
If a long distance has to be covered between two devices, the timeout can be extended by
entering the distance here (in meters). The increased timeout means that the access point
waits longer to receive a response from the partner.
"Transmission antenna"
Here you can specify which antennas operate as transmitting antennas. "Automatic" is
recommended if the same antennas are used. If different antennas are used, e.g., a panel
antenna and an omnidirectional antenna, the omnidirectional antenna should be specified
as the transmitting antenna.
"Antenna gain"
The transmission power for the various antenna types and cable lengths can be set here.
Select the antenna/cable combination used. The transmission power for antennas in
Europe in the
2.4 GHz ISM band is limited to 20 dBm. The maximum permissible value that can be
entered in WBM is calculated according to the following formula:
20 dBm + Cable/connector attenuation - Antenna gain = Maximum permissible value
In order to limit the radio field (interference/security) it may be useful to reduce the
transmission power.
"Power constraint"
The power constraint setting limits the transmission power of the access point to the
specified value. If TPC is activated, the value entered here is transmitted to all clients, which
have access to the access point.
If TPC is not activated, this parameter, together with the set antenna gain, specifies the
maximum transmission power for the female antenna connector.
3.5.4.3
"Network" menu (only in "Client" mode)
In the "Network" menu the necessary settings are made to replace a cable route with two
clients. This operating mode is known as "Bridge" mode.
Please note that the MAC address must be entered in the following format (with colon):
AA:BB:CC:DD:EE:FF
