Keysight 89600 Vector Signal Analysis Software for M9393A

Overview

One of the components of Keysight M9393A PXIe Performance Vector Signal
Analyzer software installation is the M9393A hardware extension for Keysight 89600
VSA software. A hardware extension is a set of files that provides an interface
between the 89600 VSA software and the acquisition hardware. The hardware
extension files, as well as the 89600 VSA Integration Utility, are installed along with
other M9393A program files during the M9393A driver installation process. If a
compatible version of 89600 VSA software is detected during the installation
process, the Integration Utility puts a copy of the M9393A hardware extension files
into the associated 89600 installation location. Each compatible version of 89600
VSA software must have a copy of the M9393A hardware extension files in its
installation location.
A hardware extension implements several COM interfaces. The interfaces have
methods for acquiring (connecting to) measurement hardware, setting acquisition
parameters, controlling VSA hardware settings, acquiring measurement data, and
querying hardware status. The M9393A hardware extension maps M9393A interface
methods to COM interface methods for supported 89600 VSA functionalities.
The M9393A hardware extension enables 89600 VSA software to detect the
presence of M9393A modules and to configure an M9393A VSA instrument from
these modules based on a set of rules. As with other 89600 VSA supported
instruments, an M9393A VSA can be configured via the 89600 VSA's New Hardware
Configuration dialog.
To use the Keysight 89600 VSA Software measurement capabilities, you must first
create a connection between the measurement software and the hardware
configuration that is your M9393A Vector Signal Analyzer.

you need to run the 89600 VSA Integration Utility to install the M9393A
hardware extension. Go to Start > All Programs > Keysight > M9393 > 89600
