Display Selection Buttons
The display selection buttons allow the operator to open other displays by selecting the associated
button. Not all buttons are available to the standard operator.

3.3 Functionality

Buttons, icons and enterable fields can be selected by simply touching the item to be selected with
one's finger, stylus, or selecting it with a mouse (
Buttons and enterable fields that are grayed out are not enabled (figure 3-2). If a grayed out button
or enterable field is selected, nothing will happen. Various conditions must be met with the control
application software before particular buttons or fields are enabled.
Enterable fields are shown as white rectangular areas (figure 3-2). These fields allow the operator to
enter alpha-numeric information. If alpha-numeric information is to be entered into an enterable
field on the display, a full keyboard (figure 3-3) pop-up will appear on the display if the keyboard icon
is selected. Select the enterable filed and the pop-up keyboard can be used by selecting the
desired character using ones finger or stylus to enter the required information. If a USB keyboard is
connected to the machine, information can be entered from the keyboard for the selected enterable
field.
Certain actions taken by the operator require a secondary operator verification before the action is
executed (figure 3-4). This will prevent accidental selection of critical functionality. Such actions
requiring secondary verification are stopping measurement test, file deletion and shutting down
(
exiting
) the user interface application.
